I recently inherited two beautiful pieces of rhinestone jewelery. I want to know more about them. They both have marks on the back that might tell me something about them. I inherited them from my husband’s grandmother who was 94 when she passed last week, so they may be old, or they may not. It’s really hard to take pictures of things like this without a microscope. I’ve been spoiled at school with a lot of optical microscopes around, but I don’t have one at home.
First up is the ring pendant.
Very pretty, about and inch across. The mark on the back looks like this, again pardon the crappy picture.
The second one is a more dangly pendant.
There are four marks on this one. First is an E in a diamond. Very blurry, I know. See the E? It’s all of 2mm high. Yes, I know I’m mixing my units of measurement. I’m a Canadian in her 30s. We waffle on them.
The other three marks are all on the bottom part. I can’t photograph them all. They read “GERMANY” , Something”RLING” (there is something before the RLING, maybe it says STERLING?) and “Imp”
Any ideas what I have here?
